Beavers Fc controlled the game for long periods with Matt Nash only having one real save to make which was late on . We went ahead after about only 5 mins . We were awarded a free kick about 25 yards out which Chris Macie whipped into the top corner with great pace and accuracy . It could have been 2 after about 20 mins when Macie was played through from deep only for his lob to hit the roof of the net . Their keeper was in action again shortly after tipping over a Lee D free kick . It soon became 2 nil when Jamie Newton got on the end of a long throw from Colin Rance to flick home . Then our first change came as Marc limped off ( yes again ) to be replaced by Danny Heath who had his best game in a beavers shirt . Then totally against the run of play their centre half strikes from fully 35 yards against the wind giving Nashy no chance . With the wind with us we had a couple half chances and the bar was srtuck twice late on from corners and anoher Rance long throw . Ht 2-1 to the Beavers

With us playing against he wind it was more difficult for us to get out but Andrew Simpson Gibbo and Michael P sniffed out nearly all afc attacks with only a few half chances which were blasted high and wide of Matt goal . With about 30 mins to go Curt was introduced to give some fresh legs upfront in place of Chris Penny who again worked his nuts off . This change brought us a pen as after minutues of being on curt was clattered in the box and we were given the pen which Lee D put away to make it 3-1 .On came the big man Dave Bestley for Jamie N and Adam Barker for Jamie Heath . Curt full of confidence by this point then went on a Maradonna style run down the left beating 2 or 3 afc defenders only for his shot to be well saved by their keeper . Then game a cheeky nutmeg by Danny Heath and he himself could have done better when Colin crossed for Danny who was unlucky with his effort . We then had a few half chances from distance with Colin and Lee D both off target . With about 10 to go Matt Nash made his first save of the game tipping the ball round the post . The final chance of the game fell to Big Dave although he could not direct his header on target from a free kick from the right .
