The weather was the clear winner in this game as rain and wind made it almost impossible playing conditions. Both teams should be applauded for giving it their all as the rest of us tried to stay dry. Alan Inns put Hampton ahead just before h-t with a firm header - but ex Beaver Luke Fontana popped up to equalise.
Beavers FC earned their first ever IFA point after coming back from a 1-4 deficit and even had chances to win the game.

Hampton made it a magnificent 7 wins on the spin and jumped to 4th in the table over 10-man Walton. Victor Asombang gave an early lead after the keeper only parried Elliott Godfrey's strong shot. 2nd half goals from Dean Wells unstoppable header, Elliott Frost's sublime chipped strike and a Rob Paris cool finish completed the scoring.
Another League win with an impressive win over Leyton. A superb goal from Obinna Ulasi had people rubbing their eyes in disbelief in seeing Obi score. A penalty from Elliott completed the scoring but as with last week we could have scored more with some wonderful attacking play. Good to see Francis Quarm back at the club.
Hampton made it 5 League wins on the trot with a win over Slough on a boggy Stag Meadow pitch. A glancing Rob Paris header and a smart Ian Hodgess finish gave the Beavers a 2-0 h-t lead. Matt Lovett made a couple of very smart stops but Kieron Drake was by far the busier keeper, though he could not stop Victor Asombang's pen.
A couple of early goals were enough to give Slough a home win. Another couple of harsh lessons as we lost goals when we went to sleep from a throw on - and a poor back pass, but after those set backs we had enough chances to certainly draw level but met an inspired keeper in the Slough goal. Plenty of effort all round though.
The scoreline didn't tell the full story on a night when Hampton couldn't convert the chances they created - which Harrow achieved, with Matt Nash not having a lot to do otherwise. Hampton certainly came up against a better keeper than they had on Saturday , which didn't help. Good luck to Harrow in the next round.
A scoreline that did not reflect Hamptons domination of the game, but goals by Ian Hodges and Elliott Godfrey ensured we left Earlsmead with all 3 points. Having taken the lead in the 1st half an iffy looking penalty got Harrow level. Hampton though should they could step up a gear and Elliott got a winner - which kept Hampton 8th
Our early play was excellent and took an early lead through Paul Downes. We lost our shape a little and allowed an equaliser before h-t. Then we conceded a penalty and by this time lost Paul and Keith who were walking wounded. A 3rd went in but heads didn't drop and Lee pulled one back but we just didn't have enough to force a leveller.
A superb Rob Paris header gained all 3 points for Hampton on a day when endeavour and desire were more evident than silky skills. A heavy Winter's pitch didn't help either team - and thanks to Bob for his hard work in ensuring the game went ahead. Moving up to 8th in the table a good run will certainly see us in the play off shake up.
